The Afro Queen Variation 1 is one of a collection of digital art prints created by the artist Sarah Deacon (she also goes under the alias of Thinking Scientist). The work was created using a mix of techniques, including digital collage, effects and finally creating this stunning print.

Sarah is a self-taught artist, designer, photographer, stylist, part-time DJ, dancer and vintage collector with a PhD in Science. She loves pattern design and has passion for upcycling, harvesting and recycling fabrics and using the prints as inspiration in her own designs. Sarah loves to mix old and new, which is reflected in her eclectic mix of items. Sarah takes inspiration from from various places, including famous artists such as Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Gustav Klimt, Georgia O’Keefe, Frida Kahlo, Cesar Manrique, Roberto Burle Marx, Warhol and many other artists from the Expressionist, Fauvist, Cubist, Avant Garde and Pop-Art movements. Many of her works have hidden meanings and stories.
